Tikahs Shoes for Kids Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of vulnerable school-going children in rural Zambia by providing them with school shoes. Our goal is to ensure that children do not have to walk long distances barefoot, promoting their health, safety, and confidence in their education journey.
Tikahs Shoes for Kids Foundation is named in honor of the late Tikah Jere, who passed away from cervical cancer. She was a compassionate woman dedicated to helping the less fortunate, and her legacy of kindness and generosity continues through this initiative.
Providing shoes will improve their safety, dignity, and educational outcomes, ultimately contributing to poverty reduction and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in education, health, climate action, and gender equality.
We believe in caring for vulnerable children and ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.
Every child deserves equal opportunities regardless of their background or economic status.
We recognize that education is a key tool for breaking the cycle of poverty.
We promote environmentally responsible practices in shoe distribution and disposal.
We recognize the link between environmental degradation and child well-being and advocate for climate-conscious solutions.
We collaborate with communities, schools, and organizations to maximize impact.
